Green Businesses help save our planet

Marin County launched the green business program in 2002 in partnership with the City of Novato. The Marin County Board of Supervisors recognized their first group of Green Businesses on April 15, 2002. 

deeper greeN formerly known as Plantris Productions, was proud to be Marin County's very first Green Business to demonstrate higher environmental standards of operation. There are now over 275 certified green businesses and 3 public agencies certified in Marin County. The program is now operating countywide and is open to all businesses and government agencies.

Marin County re-certified deeper greeN in 2005 and again on February 3, 2009.

We continue to administer additional clear, measurable steps to operate an even greener business- both literally and figuratively, hoping to inspire other businesses to join the revolution to save our planet.

"Myurt Studios," our sunny yurt studio & office nestled in beautiful Forest Knolls, was erected in 2000 and utilizes numerous recycled and "green building" materials designed for beauty, solid waste reduction and maximum energy efficiency. 

Myurt Studios has been featured in Wired Magazine online, the San Francisco Chronicle, Bay area Channel 5 Eye on The Bay, and in a book called "Yurts" Living in the Round.
