deeper greeN, formerly Plantris Productions, was contracted by Bruce Ackerman of Ackerman's Volvo in Berkeley, California to create a unique storefront to increase visibility & attract drive by customers. We created mosaic mural wrapping around the base of the building to decorate and upgrade the building facade. Colorful red climbing Passion vines plants were planted for color and warmth. Ackerman's agreed to paint, add new signage and fix many long-standing structural defects while Debra designed and installed a colorful 18" high by 27' mosaic mural around the storefront. Inside, Debra provided two custom peices of steel furniture with slate mosaic tabletops that she made, one shelf supporting a beautiful fish aquarium and the other was a customer coffee table.
Debra later installed large terra cotta pots with bright orange Passion Flowers that climb up handmade wooden trellis adding whimsical colors and textures. Inside, Bruce wanted a comfortable lounge area where customers could relax, read and drink coffee while their Volvo was serviced. We created custom mosaic tile pots, had a metal artist fabricate a custom steel end table and matching shelves to support a salt water aquarium and coffee pot for customers. Debra later created beautiful slate mosaic tabletops on both metal shelves bringing natural earth elements to that area and it works.
Ackerman's transformation was a success. We created unique and attractive curb appeal, increased property value and inspired some neighboring businesses to also beautify their own facades.
